This research theme focuses on developing AI-driven cybersecurity architectures, advanced cyber threat intelligence (CTI) and proactive defence mechanisms for 5G/6G communication networks. Our research investigates intelligent threat detection, zero-day attack identification, adaptive intrusion detection and automated threat intelligence collection, correlation and sharing. Particular emphasis is placed on securing Open RAN components, AI-enabled network functions and distributed network infrastructures.
We also explore predictive cybersecurity, digital-twin-assisted security analysis, evolving attack detection and automated defence adaptation. The objective is to establish proactive, intelligence-driven and resilient security capabilities that can anticipate, identify and mitigate emerging threats across future communication networks.
